Carina Nebula - Backyard Melbourne

Hey everyone!
So i finally managed to get out on a night that was clear and wasn't windy!
I made the most of it, capturing Mars, Saturn and a few different DSO's.
Here was my MVP (Most Valuable Picture) of the night, the Carina Nebula.

5x30 second exposures
1x25 second exposure
1x Dark frame
ISO 1600
130mm Skywatcher reflector on ALT-AZ GOTO mount.

Stacked in DSS and processed in Photoshop CS4.

I can easily say, i have been getting a lot better with the Astrophotography side of Astronomy!

Any tips or feedback is appreciated!

Hi Sean,

That's a great shot. There is some really nice detail around the keyhole nebula.

I also had a look at some of the other pictures on the photobucket page and the moon and planet shots are also great.

Cheers,
Mark
