Vela take 2 now with some colour

Hey guys, a few weeks ago I posted my vela SNR image with about 25 hours of HA. In 2 nights I have managed to add 17 hours of O3 to this and I created a Bi colour image.

I hope you like it.

Awesome work Peter. My goodness 42 hours - that's brilliant. It shows in the solid no noise colours.

Greg.

Well done, Peter. Great to be able to capture lots of data from the burbs. I think your scope has about the same effective focal length as mine and it makes for capturing a very small part of a very large object when it comes to the Vela SNR. I'm sure it's just my crazy mind but photos of this object always make me think of the 60s sci film, Fantastic Voyage where a submarine is shrunk and inserted into someone's blood stream. All those filaments seem very organic.

Greg.
Cheers Greg, I recently aquired sequence generator pro so while I have to setup every night producing large datasets is not all that hands on for me.

Yea thanks Graeme, my focal length is around 750mm so you are right it is a small part of a large object, but I just chose somewhere that I liked!
I agree it looks biological.

Wow, great work! 25 + 17 = 42 . A lot of time, well invested! So many faint details.

Well done Pete. Having seen the evolution of this data I am pleased to see the final image. Though I think you could get more OIII data.

Great detail and interesting field and composition too.

A little puzzling, for 42hrs this view still shows obvious noise? I am thinking you have stretched the beegeezus out of the data huh? Which is cool to do

That aside and since I am not appalled by a bit of noise I quite enjoyed the image, nice work, it's such a cool area that

Mike

Thanks Mike, yes I have a slight issue with my camera at the moment it is showing strange noise through images that does not calibrate out and ends up looking like little lines through the image when stacked. To counter this I have to use a sub optimal stacking method and the end result is noise. I am currently working on using a different USB and routing it away from power sources to try to sort it out.

Yes, as I said I have just invested in the SGP suite of software, and after some initial setup it makes data capture easy.

Cheers Paul, I will most likely be adding to both HA and O3 for this one more night each would get the set to around 60 hours.
