cigar's not bad, but there seems to be a lot of room for
improvement with M83. Both 20x 15secs. Usual 1100D.
I can't work out how to make pics the right size to suit
the screen, so the cigar needs to be viewed at 50% screen mag.
Poor focus on M83 due to undue haste.

Hi ray, Nice images you have posted, just wondering what scope you used and if you have any idea what your 1100d sensor temp got up to while imaging.

Hi Paul, I use an 8" f/5 Newt on my HEQ5 for smaller objects, and a
SW80 for wide field. No idea what temp was reached, but was imaging
almost non stop for about 2.5 hrs. 1100D has great noise for a budget
DSLR, but was chucking out a fair bit of amp glow which I had to get rid of.Ambient was about 22 deg C.
