Peregrine Falcon

Not often can one get up too within about 50 meters of these grand birds,I noticed this fellow swooping down on galah's on dusk,I thought it worth while having a shot at getting some images, was pleased to get as close as I could, and get some photos, really do not often see these fine raptors.

I'll load some links to higher res versions soon.

Nice. Excellent exposure on the flight shot, something I struggle with.

Thanks gentlemen.

The lens and camera used was a Canon 50D and a Canon 400 mm L series prime lens.

The settings for first 1/800 F 8 ISO 500,in flight 1/640 F8 ISO 500.

Apparently,a near by neighbour often sees it chasing double bar finches,I have not often seen it,maybe a couple of times in Winter,by always early in morning or late evening,it swoops low and fast, and looks like the F18 fighter jet of the bird world.
