Titan mount base diameter.

Hi, Can someone inform me on the diameter of the base of the Titan mount that fints the top of pier or tripod?

I am in the process of making a concrete pier to fit a Titan onto, but will not be recieving mine till February 2009. I need to know these dimensions to calculate the spacing I need the 4 bolts that will protrude out of the top of the pier.

Thank you.

Surely if you ask Losmandy directly they'll be only too pleased to provide the exact details if you can't get it off your vendor ...
Or try http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/Titan_Mount/

Wow a Titan .... probably the only one in Australia.

The internal dia for the Titan is 6.5". The mount will slot straight in. You can "oversize" the external dia - mine is 8" to match the external pier dia. Just use longer bolts to fasten the mount to the internal sleeve.

Its the same dimensions as the Losmandy HGM200 pier head. I've got a diagram courtesy of Mr. Ward. He may chime-in...otherwise I can scan it sometime, but it wont be for a while.

Thanks you for replying Ian and Jase. I will space the bolts 8" apart.

The pier is going to be octagonal, formed with timber frame that will be removed after the cement sets. The base at ground leavel will be 500mm diameter and taper to 250mm at the top. The height is to be 1250mm above ground and the same beneath.

All the best.
