Imaged Jupiter last night, had some totally unexpected good seeing for the alt. All of the predictors I rely on were indicating very ordinary conditions. It was still very warm with a hot North wind, 3am this morning still 32C.
Have the GRS going over the P limb and Oval BA coming in from the F limb
Chris Pellier's Mickey Mouse head is prominent in the STB as is a row of dark spots in the STrZ. The turbulence in the SEB is well resolved as are the festoons impinging into the EZ from the NEB. I note a prominent very compact bright spot in the NEB.
The NTrZ is notable for just how smooth it appears to be. The NTB has some interesting structures of spots toward the P limb and there are multiple tiny bright ovals in the North polar region.
Regards
Trevor
