I was surprised to see how red Antares looked
during daylight, and bright!!
...actually occultations can be quite fun to watch, I love the
way the stars go blip! and they're gone when they hit the dark
limb or blip! and they appear depending which side the dark limb
is on. But my favorite is when they graze the edge so close or
at a slight angle, that you can watch the star pop in and out of
the peeks, which is rather magical on a dark limb area. A good
occultation with a bright star is enough for me to setup my scope.
