a long wait for astronauts

thinking of becoming an astronaut? it seems that years of training at NASA doesnt mean you are going to fly...

SPACE CENTER, Houston (AP) -- George Zamka has been an astronaut for almost seven years and he still hasn't made it to space. But he's far from alone. Grounded for two years, a third of the nation's nearly 150 astronauts have never flown in space, and some wonder when they will.

I tihnk I'll stick to working in a library. the longest wait i have to endure is 1 week (payday).

In those seven years they could have gone to Mars and back a couple of times and probably still have time to build a Mars Base!

It would be so awsome for the space flight into space, have a look around and come back to earth, but i think you would have to be a different sort of person to be able to wait for so long for your space flight. (if any) Don`t you think that we are all so lucky that we can go all the way up there and beyond the easier way from our backyards.
