Meade ED80 First Light

I bought a Meade ED80 from the classifieds early December. Anyway I finally found a break in the clouds 3 months later and here we have first light!

A very poor break in the cloud. Only some 35min worth of data captured here. I had issues with my USB system locking up while sending commands to the scope so a lot of exposures were wasted as the autoguider would send the command to step and the scope would suddenly start slewing. Anyway something is better than nothing, so here we are Orion and the Running Man.

I think camera wasn't sitting flush in the flattener and the spacing needs some working, but hey first light

Well if I had to set up all your gear Dave I'd still be here setting up now in the rain.

Tell you what I'll do you a favour, let's just swap setups. I'm sure you'd like to upgrade from the big heavy EQ8 to the light nimble EQ6 right?

Seriously though do you have a little roll off roof setup at home? I am only just managing with the EQ6, and I've done my back in once already. I have no idea how you even move that EQ8 around let alone a telescope twice the size of mine.
