Broadbeach Pano - Jan 1, 2014

Happy New Year everyone!!

Well as is tradition, we went down the coast to watch the first sunrise of 2014.

Here's a panorama of the sunrise looking towards the East through to the South, with the buildings at Broadbeach to the left.

I've learnt with this image just how hard it is to stitch waves!!

Cheers,
Mario

Very good effort! I can see where it's stitched but it's not exactly obvious at first glance. It also seems to me that right-hand image is a little soft. Great colours though, and with the darker look out to the right it's quite a moody scene.

Your under Suspision with your Rendition of your Tradition Mario ?
Why would an aussie get up for the 1st day of year, well, that early anyways, oh ok mate, yep, did you spot any Aussies then
Also, did you go for a dip in the 1st ocean of 2014 as well ?
And did you make a resolution whilst making this wonderful rendition brought on from your tradition
I did, it was to be a pain in tha butt for 12months

Great shot Mario

Thanks for the feedback Cam. I too noted the third panel seemed a bit soft - I guess the focus shifted slightly. I use manual exposure mode for my panels to keep them all the same ISO, f number and shutter speed so focus must be the problem...

Thanks Steve - this pano was one I'd planned to try but the waves proved more of a problem than I'd expected!

Thanks Bob! Yes, there were other aussies on the beach - mostly drunk ones - and yes I went for an early morning dip once I'd taken my camera gear back to the apartment. I had to get the boogie boards for me and the kids...

Cheers,
Mario
