My first solar imaging for 2014 - 5 jan 2014 AR1944

i took time out this afternoon after seeing Ralph's wonderful images - spurred me on get my solar side of the DOGHOUSE organinsed - so i lined up the main scope on the sun (with a filter on) then adjusted the Cassidy SBS bar till i had the sun on the ed80 with the Baader solar wedge, then the lunt 60. the seeing was very average, Ralph must have had exceptional seeing to get what he did - it was simply amazing. but enough of my envy

here are a series of shots i managed to get - the lunt full disc were from two shots with thee DMK41, the close up AR1944 was with the ASI120MM and the baader solar wedge. pardon my poor processing - its been that long i need to remember what i need to do again

looking at the HA data I got there are some very active regions facing us

Thanks Dave,
They were through the Vixen stopped down to 110mm. My notes say the seeing was 6-7/10 that day.
Your images look mighty fine to me.
