a very general question - anyone having trouble with google at the moment?

At first i thought it was something my wife has done - she has been on the computer all day doing school work - and she was getting frustrated that google searches were not working. is anyone else having this problem at the moment?

i loaded google chrome - it did the same

Google is chuffing along nicely here, HRH almost always has problems with Google throwing up sites with trojans in searches, I see the same from time to time, might be worth checking with Malwarebytes to see if something nasty has hijacked your browser.

Over the last few days have been having intermittent problems with Google site. I use it for mail and for searching. Normally works great first time, but last couple of days about half the time I try to get to Google front page, it just hangs as if my internet isn't working. Other sites are fine. I try again bit later and it seems fine.

The only thing I have done recently was install a new version of flash for firefox - I wasnt sure if it was related.

Your problem makes it sound like it is not just me.

Often happens with school holidays.
many more games being played and over loading the system.

I find that the internet slows down through holidays. kids also trying out trojans etc.

David I have had problems with a few sites and it turns out to be the Optus/Virgin network. Don't know if ur on these but it could be that.
