Mt Buffalo, Vic, viewing nights on again in January 2014

Parks Victoria will host 3 viewing nights at Mt Buffalo National Park in January, on the evenings of 9, 16 & 23 Jan 2014. The nights are run for the benefit of campers in the National Park but anyone is welcome provided they contact Parks Victoria first (this is just so we know the numbers and can plan accordingly). Several members of the Bright Astronomy Club Inc will again be acting as volunteers on the nights. We'll have a variety of scopes. Moonlight will interfere on the first two evenings but hopefully we get the typical crystal clear skies which allow a modicum of deep sky viewing.

Place: Shores of Lake Catani, beside the Lake Catani camping park, Mt Buffalo National Park, North East Victoria.

Times: Please be assembled at the campground parking area by 9:15pm, ie before dark!

Cost: Gold coin donation would be appreciated - monies raised go to the Bright Astronomy Club Inc to fund club activities, including outreach events.

Plan B: In the event of cloudy/rainy evenings, assemble at Dingo Dell for an informative & interesting time under shelter!

Hope to see you there!

Cheers -
