I may be wasting my time so let me explain how easy it is.
Astronomy projects that will be un necessary if you get the real gear.
I notice the canon 300d has a point where noise is noticable even to me, under that point it is still noticable but not by my novice eye.
I have converted a car cooler box (from **** Smith $30) with a peltie device to house the camera. It mounts on the scope and does not add weight to the focus carry mass. If the foam can handle the "exhaust" heat it will lead the hot air over the corrector plate to remove/prevent dew.
In addition I have a condensor unit from a fridge and an air pump to deliver cool air to the camera box.
Havent used it yet but its complete and can go with all the other completed maybe never to be used projects.
Anyways next time out, darks, flats (averaged of course) colour filters and a colded camera..110 % go at it. Here are some shots of the project and the observatory.
