Orion G3 Problems?

Hi all wondering if anyone knows what's up.
The other night I was trying out my Orion G3 Mono and using both the supplied software, Orion Camera Studio (OCS) and Nebulosity 3, it wouldn't let me take exposures past 30s. It would be fine for anything less, but in OCS for example it come up with an "Invalid Image" error message and I'd have to disconnect the camera and reboot the software to get it working again. Same with Neb, anything past 30s it would say "downloading" but essentially just freeze up? My first guess would be a cable issue, but I'm sure it's a USB2 and shielded. Any ideas?
I've update the Ascom drivers from Orion's website and I'm running Windows 7 64bit.
Cheers!
Chris

Wouldn't you be better posting this in the Astro photography section. I doubt this is a beginners issue & surly someone more advanced would know whats wrong.

Hi Doug. I still consider myself a beginner using beginner class equipment, so I figured I'd post my questions to the beginners section. However you're probably right, next time maybe.
Cheers
