Merry Xmas and one of my presents

Hi everyone,

Firstly, a very Merry Xmas to one and all. I hope you're all spending your day surrounded by your loved ones and lots of love!

One of the presents I received was the Astronomy 2014 Australia publication from Quasar Publishing. Having never read one of these before, I jumped straight in and started reading. The first thing I see after the introduction was an article called 'Nightscape Photography 101' written by a chap that some people may have heard of, our very own, Mike Salway...

Congratulations on a fantastic article Mike! One of the reasons I bought my NEQ6 was to get into astrophotography and what you have written is easy to understand and a great starting point for anyone wanting to get into it. I particularly liked the Fundamentals section where you've managed to capture the basics in 3 easily understood steps.

Thanks again, and have a safe New Year!

Cheers, Michael.
