Lightbridge Moon Image

Hello to all,

Well FlashDrive sold me a lovely 10" Lightbridge a few weeks ago (thanks Col). This lovely scope was in fantastic condition and only required a clean and collimation. I purchased a finder scope last week and received my Bintel 2" 40 mm super view with camera projection in the mail yesterday.
With the exception of only just reaching focus with the eyepiece held in to the tip I was happy with my first images through the scope. (I will have to invest in an extension tube to reach focus). Cant wait to get a few more images over the next month or so and hopefully next weekend I will get out to a dark site and see how this scope performs visually with the 40 mm Super View.

Thanks for looking

Carl

Hi Carl, Thanks for the compliment on my image of the Sprinter cluster.
Did you look at the second larger version that I posted, looks much more striking.
Regarding your moon image, you don't say what type of camera you
used. I assume you did EP projection with a DSLR. If that was the case it explains why the image is not quite as sharp as it should be. DSLRs are
not the best for lunar and planetary work [unless you use the video function] because of shutter and mirror vibrations. I can get better results
using my Fuji Finepix afocally. Glad you are happy with the Lightbridge.
regards raymo
