New Celestron orange dovetails don't fit

Why doesn't the new Celestron (on my C8 edge) orange dovetail bar fit a losmandy clamp?
I have googled this and I am not the only one!
More to the point -anyone have a good idea to make it fit?
(for the not so technically inclined!)
Second point-I bought some C 8 radius blocks from ADM to make a losmandy plate fit- there are corresponding holes for screws near the primary but not near the corrector. (This is with the finder in place) -Do I lose the finder the make the blocks fit?

I used a strip of thick vinyl tape (actually some old retro-reflective tape) on the moving side of the clamp. Doesn't need much thickness.

Any thin strip, e.g. ABS sheet, thin aluminium, pc board, stuck on with silicone or slowish setting glue would work. Clamp onto dovetail bar until set.

What mount are you using Graham?
The orange dovetail fits ADM and Casady saddles fine.

edit: the finder can be shifted to other holes if that helps. It could even be mounted with just one screw.

I have two ADM saddles which only just contact two genuine C9.25 bars when fully tightened.
Have measured Losmandy, WO, Celestron, ADM and unknown bars and have found several mm difference in width. The clamp range of saddles varies greatly.
The tape works well with my ADM saddles + C9.25 bars.

Admittedly I have a C8 - not an EdgeHD - but it has Losmandy D bars top and bottom. The tube came with drilled and tapped holes on top - blanked off with plastic plugs to stop dirt ingress. The front radius blocks only took one screw. The rear ones have two. The blocks and dovetails don't interfere with the finder mounting holes.
My CG5 has an ADM dual saddle and my G11 a Robin Casady saddle.

C8

I think there is only one screw at the front.
Good idea about the tape- it actually fits the PMX versa plate ok but my ADM saddles are a few mm short of clamping, will get some tape and try it out.
Cheers
Graham

Corrector end has only one screw. I replaced my dovetail with one from ADM because of the funny shape/lip of the Celestron one, it wouldn't fit in the clamp of my SE mount (Vixen-style dovetail though)...the lip would prevent it from seating in the clamp properly. Don't know what they were thinking when they designed that one.
