mounting a refractor atop a C8

Hello, I just wondered whether putting a 4kg assembly of small refractor plus camera with the ali celestron mounting plate and losmandy rings, on top of a C 8 -would this weigh deform or otherwise affect the collimation/focus of the C8-.
I would imagine if I could contain the differential flexure with the scope, then once the fittings had settled, it would be a constant?
Or would the weight deform the tube differently according to the temp?
Also would the C8 edge HD be otherwise damaged by the weight?
