9july Jupiter through jetstream

Hi everyone,

The conditions tonight were the worst I have experienced. So checked the jetstream map which was almost at maximum over Eyre Peninsula.

This image is only at prime focus. I was surprised at the amount of detail considering I could not focus sharp at all. So I think the answer is if you must image Jupiter and seeing is rotten then reduce your image scale accordingly. No onion rings at this scale which was at 1/200 second exposure,(that would freeze any movement). The one I tried at double image scale=unsharp, low contrast detail and onions.

Hi Scott and Asi,

Thanks for your replies. Yeah the larger one I got was hopeless. Tried resampling this one at 1.5 and that also was no good.

My deconvolution recipe didn't do anything worth while on this one either. So this has just got a bit of unsharp mask and reduced saturation, not much else.

Asi how did you manage to get anything at all, because its blowing a gale outside?
