M77 and NGC1055

Managed to get a clear night and do 20min subs on these two galaxies. I found that using the mosaic and framic feature in Sequence Generator Pro that I was able to get within 4-5 pixels of where I needed to be to frame these two galaxies and that included a meridian flip and plate solve.
I had previously done NGC1055 but on realising that M77 could be framed as well using my AP CCD67 FR I decided to re-do the whole image. Not sure about colour as there is a lot of faint stuff that I wont be able to do a decent job from the suburbs due to the light pollution, so I settled for a mono picture.
Comments welcomed.

Geoff, Marc, Rick and Greg,
Thanks for the nice comments. I was just happy to get some of the fainter parts of M77 and to use SGP to place the frame exactly between the two galaxies and put it back there again the next night.

I like this. I was looking at this pair a couple of nights ago. 1055 is described as a mini Sombrero, but I could not detect the dust lane. The elongation was prominent and the pair quite a nice view. Your image gives me a good idea what to look for next time.

Thanks for the kind comments John. I was interested in capturing this pair after seeing an image from Marcus that struck me and I wanted to see how well I could go from suburbia. It took a few long subs but I was happy to get the faint Nebulosity surrounding M77 but it really needs a dark site to do it justice.
Just glad you liked it.

A lovely pairing that Allan and I like B&W galaxy images, they always remind me of the old 200" Hale days...I recon we get pretty close or even exceed those days from our backyards now too

Thanks for the nice comments Mike and I have to agree that B/W has a lot going for it especially as colour can sometimes be a trial and if thats not done correctly can ruin what would be an interesting image.
It is interesting what can be done now but I still have a long, long way to go yet.
You still look a young heidelbergensis to me.
