Home built 32", takes initial test images

Here a lovely lil project someone has just posted on another group I
belong to. Check out this do-it-yourself'er, then go check out his
12 x 4.0 sec exposure of M16 (there's a link in the page)

http://bi-staff.beckman.uiuc.edu/~me.../holmes32.html

Considering as he say's, it's the first CCD images off the scope and he is
yet to fully calibrate and colminate and setup the tracking properly. As it
is still in the testing stageI'm looking forward to seeing the finished results.

regards,CS

Rob

That is one of the best reads (all the links as well) that I have had for zonks. Makes me want to drag out the old 14" blank and give it another go, then the 12" then the 10" etc. Mind you I have a completed 13.25" already!

Size does not matter! Does it?

Bert

Otherwise I am in a lot of trouble!
Compare the quality of the image to Strikers!

THAT is impressive ... in every way: the scope structure itself is amazing, the fact that he has built it himself is awesome, and the astounding images with such short exposures! Can't imagine just how good it will be when he's got it all set up the way he wants it.
