William Optics 4" Focuser

I have decided to sell my brand new W. O. 4" DDG focuser.

I purchased this about 12 months ago to update the focuser on one of my scopes but since I'm saving for a new portable mount, I have reluctantly decided to sell it.

It is the same focuser as is on the beautiful W. O. FLT132 scope and is beautifully made to the WO standard.

I purchased it directly from W.O. in Taiwan.

The DDG (Digital Dial Gauge) requires a small battery (a smaller version of a AAA battery but 12V). They are available from JAYCAR, Dick Smith Electronics and other stores.

You would need to either purchase or make (have made) and adaptor to fit your OTA.

A similar focuser sells for $499 on Andrews Communications site.

I'm asking $350 plus postage. I expect that postage via registered post would cost around $25 to $30.
Alternatively, if you are in the Melbourne metro area you could come and pick it up.

Please PM me if interested.

Cheers,
Luke

Do you have any specs/measurements for mounting the focuser? Just for a rough idea if it was compatible

Hi Dave,
The inside diameter is 102mm and the land is 12mm deep.

I have added another photo that shows the adapter mounting.

It is held in place by 3 grub screws plus the thumb screw that allows the focuser to rotate. These would sit in a shallow groove.

The is also a gold ring that includes a thin Teflon spacer.

I couldn't include this in the main add as I can only have 8 photos.

I'll try to include it here.

Cheers,
Luke
P.S. For a small additional cost (around $100 to pay for the materials) I would be happy to make an adapter providing it is a standard tube refractor type scope up to 6" diameter. I reserve the right to say no or ask for more if it is a complex procedure.
This price does NOT include anodising.
