IPad help question please, locked after error message

Hi Guys maybe some one could help please.

Alice was updating her I pad, the usual way hooked up to her Lappy, anyway during this process somethinh must have gone wrong as an error message appeared, everything stopped and now the I Pad is locked, with a picture of a USB connecting lead pointing to an Itune logo on the screen.

It then turns off, and when attempting to switch it on again that picture on the screen comes up for about 20 seconds and then turns off again.

I don't have an IPad so am not much help, any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Leon

Try holding down the home key and at the same time holding the power button until the screen blanks then release both buttons. This does a reset, it may just bring the beastie back to life.

At the risk of upsetting the Apple tragics, my observation is that Apples updates do little but prematurely escalate your idevice to obsolescence by progressively making the device dysfunctional.
