Fast Astrograph

Here is the latest offering from Takahashi, 500mm F 2.8 with a 44mm diameter flat perfect 10 micron star image circle. Check out the pictures!

Sounds prity good Bert,

Would like to see some images with it. The 80mm diameter secondary is a fair size. But 500mm f2.8, that would capture something in no time flat.

Bert,

I've got the old 160mm f3.3 and it is superb, this new scope is meant to be even better. FYI, here is a centre + corner crops from my 160 f3.3 on a 300D:

Keep in mind with the obstruction the effective f Ratio is closer to f3.5, not that it matters that much
