Comet ISON lucky break

A lucky break in the clouds this morning in Brisbane gave a glimpse of the comet. It was pretty much a blind shot (rough alt/az guess) with the 200mm lens on the EOS 600D on the Vixen Polarie, and I just left it snapping away. Got a few frames with the comet on it but focus was a little off.

Thanks for looking,

Tom

Well done Tom. I saw Comets ISON and Lovejoy yesterday, too much cloud here today.
The brightest stars in your image are approx mag 7, psi Vir mag 4.8 is just out of the field.

That's pretty cool, the core is a but burnt out but you could probably fix that by turning down the highlights.

Cheers

Well done. Great job.
It won't be cloudy forever, so keep at it.

You're dedicated to wait for a little hole. I just look out the window, see 99% cloud and go back to sleep lol.

I was up too late to bother getting up early, but that's a great effort!
