How do you revert to an earlier build version of the Sky X?

I seem to remember SB site saying you can undo a daily build update. Something is out of whack since I updated my Sky X to latest daily build 7398 10.2.

Now I can get my camera to connect but if I try to take a picture it freezes.

Also it would not recognise my FLI Filter wheel even though it connects instantly when I use CCDsoft.

Greg.

Hey Greg all on the same page u get the builds from i just cut and pasted to here for ya

To restore TheSkyX to a previous build:

  1. Use Windows Explorer to open the Documents folder.
  2. Open the folder named Software Bisque\TheSkyX Professional Edition in the Documents folder.
  3. The Daily Build installer creates a folder named “Pre Build XXXX Backup”, where XXXX is a number that represents the build number. Open the folder with the build number that you wish to restore.
  4. The files in this folder must be copied to and replace the existing files in TheSkyX’s installation folder. Use Windows Search to locate each of these files in TheSkyX’s installation folder, then copy and replace it with the file from the backup folder. TheSkyX's default installation folder on Windows 32-bit editions is C:\Program Files\Software Bisque\TheSkyX Professional Edition and C:\Program Files (x86)\Software Bisque\TheSkyX Professional Edition for Windows 64-bit editions.
TheSkyX is now restored to the XXXX build. If this procedure is too difficult, or if you wish to restore TheSkyX to the shipping release:
  1. Remove TheSkyX: http://www.bisque.com/help/TheSkyXSA...ng_theskyx.htm.
  2. Restore TheSkyX’s default settings as described here (don't forget to backup any necessary files): http://www.bisque.com/help/TheSkyXSA...fault_Settings
  3. Install TheSkyX from original installer, then install the latest update (not the daily build): http://www.bisque.com/sc/media/g/the...n/default.aspx
Hope u get it back to working

Oh yeah Fred I am super patient. Just ask anyone in my family!

Its a good program when it works put it that way.

My t-point was working all fine. Now if I try to connect to the camera Trius or FLI it just freezes when I try to take an image. I thought it was just the Trius but its both.

So the lesson is not to use the daily builds unless it addresses a specific problem you have ( and what could that possibly be anyway).

Greg.

There's nothing magically special about the non-daily build versions that makes them better or more bug free.
