Jupiter 3 July C11

Hi all,
First chance for ages to do some imaging. Seeing was 5 to maybe 6/10. These have some onion rings and spots which must be processing artifacts - not sure why.Trying out some new techniques in Astra Image and overdid it, no doubt.

Toucam 840k, 1/33 sec, brightness 50%, gamma 20%, gain 60%. About 400 of 1100 at 10 frames/sec.

Interesting results, Graeme. The second one is the most pleasing to me, but both seem to be oversmoothed in some way. But at least you're experimenting! Well done!

Can you upload a zipped up version of the avi to the IIS FTP Service for me to have a play with?

Hi Graeme, can you post say a few of those raw 400 best ones here before stacking and then also say also the registax output before astra image.

As mike says, too much smoothness, but detail still is there underneath.

Nice work regardless

Mike and David,
here's a single frame from the first image and the Registax output before Astra Image. You're welcome to have a go with this. I'll try to upload one of the AVIs too.
