Tonights Viewing Second Take

Decided to do a bit more once the SMC, M45 and Orion had come up.

1. M45 Pleiades Cluster
2. Orion's Torso including the M42 Orion Nebula
3. NGC 292 Small Magellenic Cloud with NGC 104 Globular Cluster

Getting better at DSS now, still need to work on the colour saturation a bit though.

Comments Welcome,

Jason

Nice Job Jason. Can I ask how you are focusing? Does your camera have live view? I only ask because I think your focus is quite a bit of in some of these. If you let us know how you are focusing we might be able to give you some advice to help you. If you can get your focus sorted you will be surprised how much detail you can get with a lense.

Hi Rex,

I was manually focussing with the 85MM lens using the infinity setting. These are a series of 15-20 stacked images though.
