Moon tonight

I took this single frame with my Meade 8" SCT and Canon 7D at F10. Seeing was very good and with the moon almost overhead gave some steady images.

Hello John

That’s a terrific image for a single frame, focus is spot on and the seeing must have been quite reasonable.

I felt you had good data in there, just waiting to come out so I processed the file using the Topaz Plug Ins to give the image a little more punch.

Here is a 1280x960 crop as an example.

Cheers

Dennis

Here is a slightly sharper frame edited in PS elements. It is still a single frame

Nice work there John. Always harder to get good single frame shots.

Much nicer! The previously muted tones and textures in the various Maria really pop in the reprocess!

Cheers

Thanks all.
I will have another go tomorrow if it is clear. The local seeing seems to be very good considering all the strange weather we have had lately.
