shuttle off today

I just read the BBC news site where they said Discovery all cleared for 1838 hrs GMT today, Tuesday. No problems with the bit that fell off - too small to worry about!!

I just heard the TV news in the background here seems that a chunk of foam fell off. You would think they could find a better solution here a coat of resin bird netting whatever but this one has to work to get the public on side.
Good luck you brave folk going up

Yeah they were saying a piece of foam fell off but it's not a big deal. Apparently they use a telescope to take photos of the shuttle when it's on the ground. I wonder what telescope they use.

I wonder which end they look thru really. Maybe its just me but it has left me rocking.. they can cure the common cold er they can take a man to space and yet the foam still fall off... it makes me worry thats all and that is a reflection of how important this mission is politically (funding seems to be generally under attack) there can be no problems at all..
