Thumbs up Rush - the movie : No spoilers

Rush tells the tale of the on-track and off-track rivalry of Formula 1 drivers
Niki Lauda and James Hunt in the 1970's.

Directed by Ron Howard [Apollo 13, A Beautiful Mind], the film feels more
European than Hollywood. That is no coincidence, as it is filmed in Europe.

The excellent screenplay by Peter Morgan [Frost/Nixon, The Queen], is bound to be
nominated for an Academy Award.

Chris Hemsworth portrays the English playboy Hunt wonderfully and no doubt this
performance will help open even more career path doors.

Portraying a pragmatic but often blunt Lauda, Daniel Brühl is so good that you
forget that he is just an actor.

Its MA15+ rating means this is not a family film but it is definitely one that mature
audiences will find captivating.

Drama, sex, action, comedy. It is all here for a great night's entertainment.

You don't need to be a motor racing fan to enjoy it and the human spirit of the
film means you are bound to come out at the end feeling better for having seen it.

It's is funny, for a long time there wasn't a movie I wanted to see at the cinema and suddenly there are two: Gravity and Rush. Have to go and see both, don't want to wait another 6 months to see on dvd.

I'm looking forward to this.

I've always been fascinated by Niki Lauda, and equally so by Daniel Brühl. He's an incredibly versatile and skilled actor.

I've just finished watching Vaya con Dios again, one of his earlier major roles. Subsequent memorable appearances were in Good Bye Lenin, The Edukators and Ladies in Lavender (opposite Judy Dench and Maggie Smith, no less).

Cheers
Steffen.

A must see for any Formula 1 fan or for anyone who has an interest in F1.

Oh boy! The best movie I've seen in a long time. admittedly my wife and I are F1 fans but I don't think you need to be in order to enjoy this one. 10/10!

+1 from here too.

I aaw it yesterday in Gold Class with SWMBO who is not a motor racing fan. However she does remember drooling at James Hunt when he'd appear on TV.

Saw it last night. Very cool. Although I thought Lauda got a bad wrap. He was bossy and anti-social but not that much of an a$$hole as depicted in the movie.

Great flick - saw this and Gravity within 24 hours of each other, and much preferred this one. Daniel Brühl was marvellous - post Nürnburgring, I forgot he was an actor.
