NGC253_Sculptor_Galaxy

Hi everyone, this one is the second image from my first light weekend with the new scope. Not sure about the processing on this one, I really struggled with keeping the detail in the galaxy while removing the noise. Tips, pointers and critique are more than welcome. Thanks for looking.
Image details:
Object: NGC253 Sculptor Galaxy
Location: My house
Camera: Unmodded Canon 1100D Astronomic CLS-CCD clip filter
Scope: Carbon Fibre Skywatcher 8" f/4 astrograph
Exposure: Combination of 45 x 300sec @ ISO800, Darks, Flats, Bias frames
Stacked in DSS and processed in Photoshop CS2

Nice - good to see another NGC 253 in the same orientation as mine.

Looks like you have good data Rex. I'd give pixinsight a go, it is fantastic for getting the most out of this galaxy.
Maybe post your raw data up somewhere so people can have a go at it.

Thanks Laurie, Jo, Chris and Peter.
Peter unfortunately my Astro pc is 32 bit so Pixinsight won't run on it. I agree that I could get more out of it and as I progress and get better at processing I will probably revisit it then. As for putting the raw data up for others to have a go, I'll think about it. My experience in the past has been that someone will produce a fantastic image but then won't share the exact details of what they did to achieve the outcome. Kinda makes it pointless as I post items here to learn how to process the images better. That being said I will definitely consider it. Any ideas on where I could put them for people to download if I decide to go ahead with it?
