M 42 and Ison

I got up early to get some subs of Ison and while waiting for it to come over the trees I got a quick M 42 as well.

Imaging with my newt at 1000mm, unguided. Around f6.

M 42, 18x30sec and 22x5sec with 350d iso 1600.

Ison, 40x30sec iso 1600.

Hope you like them.

Jo

Good stuff.

I really should make the effort to get some Ison (or some other comet) pics - haven't tried that yet.

Jo, really nice your are getting some good data acquisition, when you can get some long exposures your technique will get you some really good images.

Hi Jo, great image for such short subs. Love the colours and your processing skills are very good to bring out so much detail in this one.

Thanks Rex, I still have a lot to learn with processing, but I think I might be getting some bits figured out.

Cheers
Jo
