Comet ISON, Mars and NGC 3041 10th Oct

This morning's line up was of Mars, Comet ISON and NGC 3041, a mag 11.5 spiral galaxy. So low in the sky and pointing almost directly at a streetlight, processing was again heavily applied, so it aint pretty. The field is about 3 degrees wide.

Canon EOS 600D, 200mm, 70x15sec exposures f/4 ISO 6400

Thanks for looking,

Tom

I do like these wide field shots Tom as they give some perspective to what we're looking at. You're also going reasonably deep with that 200mm lens to pick up that galaxy.

I slept in this morning, too tired, but it was a bit cloudy anyway.

Thanks Kevin. I noticed the blob of light and had to look it up. I was surprised to learn it was so faint.
