M42 with my baby newtonian

Finally another image with my recently acquired 130mm f5 imaging "optimised" baby newtonian, mounted on a HEQ5. Camera was a modded 1000D, guiding using a QHY5LII with a Rubinar 500mm f8 mirror lens as a guidescope.

Capture details (all ISO1600):
"Inner" core: 58 x 10sec, 36 x 20secs
"Outer" core: 52 x 60secs
Rest of image: 42 x 120secs, 31 x 180secs, 70 x 240secs

That fills the frame nicely Richard, very sharp & smooth too, dig the colors and the spikes, good blending between subs, mate, that a fine result, top work with the 130mm and 1000D, very rewarding Image, top stuff

Holy crap, taken with a 1000D? I have one of those and I never got even close what you have here, never even got close with my 5D MkII.

Very nice work.

Nice one richard. Little hard on the processing to my taste but some good details and colors.
