M33

Hi All,

Had a little play with some M33 Data, most of it useless due to the secondary fogging up . Am buying a dew strap for the secondary mirror ASAP.

Anyway, only about an hours data with darks, again lots of noise but viewing was really bad so as mentioned didn't get all the frames I had taken.

Cheers

That's start of a good image Anthony!

Is your 600D modded?
The HA regions are coming through well.

Cheers,

Justin.

What scope Tony? I used to find a foot of bedding foam made into a dew protector was all my F5 8" newt needed - primary would fog before the 2nd'ary.

Great image there!

Just a point, if it's a 6in Rc then you will be out of luck finding a dew heater for the secondary. The only ones I've found are from Kendricks, and they only offer them for the 8in and up. For mine I've found a dew shield seems to work a treat :-)

Looks like a good start, Tony. You've got some nice red coming through.

I have an RC8 as well and use a Kendrick secondary heater, and normal dew straps around the extension tubes in front of the focuser.

Great result, I tried to image this Galaxy about 2 months ago and resulted in nothing. Not a easy target.
