Highest Waterfall in Australia

Hi Guys, thought i would show you a photo we took whilst visiting the Wallaman Falls, conditions were against us as the sun was setting in front of us, and heaps of smoke around.

Anyway it was a beautiful sight, hope you like it.

The highest, permanent, single-drop waterfall in Australia, some 270 Meters, Wallaman Falls is part of the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area, home to some of the oldest rainforests on earth and many endangered plants and animals,

Nice shot; nice place, Leon. I could only wish you had the light on your side at the time, could have been spectacular.

Thanks Guys, not the best shot but only had one chance at it.

Greg, it is 51 ks west of Ingham in QLD, beautiful drive up a very steep incline to the summit with spectacular views, it was a shame it was so smokey though.

my mum was born in Ingham so it was good to see the photo.

i remember going there when I was young and your photo brings back memories of the shape the water made as it fell. I find it a very attractive waterfall- uncomplicated.

Hi Leon,

Fantastic!

By the way, I drove up to the tip of Cape York and back last month and we had a
great time so if you are still planning on getting up there, feel free to drop me a line
and happy to pass on any tips.

Best Regards
