NGC 7172 galaxy group
This is one of the better shots I've taken with the new 36.8cm RC as I continue to chase down the (hopefully) last few problems. I may go back to this one with more data as it's just a little noisy.
Cheers
Steve

Thanks Dave. Doesn't seem to be imaged much for some reason.

Interesting group of galaxies Steve!
Nice work
I guess you need at least, the setup you have to do them justice.
Cheers,
Justin.

Fantastic grouping of galaxies you've acquired Steve. Its also great to hear that most of your equipment troubles have past. Judging by this image, the set up is starting to really sing. A result to be proud of, for sure. Are you going to try some usual suspect (mainstream) targets to benchmark against your previous efforts? Looking forward to seeing more.

Thanks Marcus. Still some things happening that I don't understand but I feel that the light is definitely appearing at the end of the tunnel now. What's the latest on your 36cm?

Thanks Jase. Yes, weather permitting I'll be doing some of the usual stuff although I always tend to like going for the unusual and less often imaged.

That's wonderful Steve, and funnily enough I've just been going on this exact group for the last 5 clear nights!
It's a great image and doesn't look noisy at all to me, great work!
It was quite windy here during the time I collected data on this, which is unusual. So I'll probably have difficulties matching your details there as I think many of my frames had some trailing as result. At least you've given us a top shelf Hickson 90 image now, and I'll certainly look to it for reference

Thanks Rolf. I'll look forward to seeing your image. I did a reprocess after the first posting and removed most of the noise.

Thanks Ray. As mentioned above I did a reprocess after the first post and removed most of the noise. Just shows that it's worth spending that little bit of extra effort when image processing.
