Telescope Simulator for ipad or iPhone

Just found a really cool app for people that want to get an idea of what some objects look like in most of the common telescopes on the market. It allows use of diff eyepiece and barlows. It's really neat for someone wanting to purchase a new scope..

Please note I have no connection with this App, I just found it looking around the App Store. I think it was free or close to.

StarMap Pro also does, enter details of the eyepieces and telescope and it will show objects as they appear in various eyepieces. But its a bit clunky to use outdoors at night as it has some unpleasant habits in the user interface.

Of the various iOS apps the one I would suggest you look at is Sky Safari Pro, easily the best IMHO.

Hi Mardy,

Haven't seen Telescope Simulator, but Astro Aid does a similar thing. You can add several scopes, eyepieces and barlows, and has a substantial object database.

Agree wholeheartedly about Sky Safari Pro....excellent.
