Keep your eyes open for ..

Old Overhead projectors. Noone wants them anymore, been superceded by projectors of course.
Big chuck out at work and one item was a rather fancy O/Hd projector I used to use during my training role days.
Did I want it ? what should they do with it ? leave it with me.
In the top head mirror assembly is a Doublet 60mm f6~7 lens. I think I just found my next guide scope objective. I know this piece of gear quite well, it was a very expensive at the time unit and was well colour corrected. So all you DIY enthusiasts out there keep your eyes open, they must be cheap as chips.

I'll be down in the workshop if you want me ....

Just did a quick test downstairs with it and a poor .965 EP ( was supposed to be looking at the leak in the car radiator !! ). Looks more than suitable and is almost exactly f6 (360mm). Also just happens to fit into a Xerox waste toner bottle plastic tube ( black and rigid ) which also just happens to be the right length and found a screw thread focusser that just fits the tube via a plastic coupling. Not bad for a hasty 5 mins work.

But the radiator is still leaking, split header tank dammit ! There goes my slush fund for the time being...
