John Lennon - if he had lived

Hi,

I'm not long back from the USA, where we visited NYC. We went to the 9/11 memorial, where I found the names of the Australians who died in the attacks that day. I thought they'd like a visitor from home.

We also walked past the Dakota Hotel, where John Lennon was murdered in 1980. He would have been 73 this year. I was just now thinking about that and wondered how he might have looked:

Geoff, we stayed at The Beacon - a couple of blocks from The Dakota where John lived and was shot. That corner is a mecca for just about every baby boomer tourist, as is Strawberry Fields across the road in Central Park.

The real one is, a childrens' home. It's also a memorial nook and plaque in NYC Central Park, not far from the Dakota Hotel.

Cheers
