Astrofest M33

This was pretty low in the North from memory but seemed to work out ok. This one is 18x10 min subs LRGB taken over two nights.

As always comments/advice welcome.

It's surprising what you can catch of those northern targets. Nicely done, Peter!

Really nice work Peter. I love the detail in galaxy arms in the full res version, an impressive result for a “mere” 80mm!

Cheers

Dennis

Having a bit of a Deja vu moment here as I'm sure I've replied to your comments already?

Just had a look in Astroplanner - started imaging when it was at 20 deg altitude - highest it got was 33 degs. This was one of the objects I stayed up all night for. I had to cut short the blue subs because the sun was rising.

Thanks Dennis - changing the focuser on that Meade and adding the Orion flattener has made it quite a nice imaging scope. It sure is a lot more forgiving than the 10" newt.

I seem to remember saying this before the big crash, I like the subtle processing, must put M33 on the list for next year.
