Eta Carina through Bert,s 300mm Lens

Howdy.
Thought Id try for Eta carina tonight.
2x5 mins 300f 2.8, uhcs and uv/ir filters. Hand guided. Hutech 350D.

Im getting used to focussing this huge hunk of glass now, visually focussed it and only took 2 trial and error adjustments with 5 second shots at ISO 1600 to get good focus. Its a joy to hand guide too.

That is a bit of an understatement Scott 'huge hunk of glass', it is really a photon sucker of the first order. It is great to see you get such good results or images so quickly. On reflection the ability to rotate the whole assembly by loosening the rings would make orientation for framing images also a joy to use.
