First look at M20

I hadn't ever looked at M20 before, so the other night I pulled out the Canon 20D and attached it to the refractor. With my current setup, focussing is difficult, especially when the object is high. I think that the focus is a bit soft on this one, and that I may have pushed the data a little too hard.

Widefield
TV NP127
Canon 20D modded
ISO 800
5 x 60 sec
PixInsight & LR4

Narrowfield
14" ACF SCT
Nikon D7000
ISO 800
1 x 62 sec
LR4

Cheers, Chris

I like the close up. Little noisy. More data will smooth it out. Very nice details already in there.

Looks good, focus does look a bit soft - I think if you stack dozens of frames rather than 5 you'll have a little winner....

I like the widefield.
It’s a very good starting point, and it definitely needs more data @ good focus ...

A nice start, Chris. The narrow field would come up nicely with some more data.
