Longest night of the year - hope you're out in it.

Well, it is the shortest day of the year. So unless something really strange is going on, that means it's the longest night of the year.

I figure it's only down hill from here for us astronomers until this time next year.

Hope there's other's making good use of it. Lucky for me it's clear here and I've been getting some good images. Feezing but, I am sure it's colder out here than in my CCD's -20c chamber.

Roger.

It was totally clouded over and periodically rained all of last night . Actually it's still raining today...

When the news said it was going to rain for this week I figured it was something to keep our hopes up. I hate it when they're right.

Seems like I was one of the few lucky ones! Shame it wasn't a weekend, I had to make it an early night for work today.

We had three clear and cold one's in a row, but now it's turned to clouds and some rain.
