Tablets and dew

My wife may give me her old iPad soon and I immediately thought about using it as an observing tool. However, I'm concerned about the effects of dew, which have always put me off taking a laptop into the field.

How do you deal with dew when using a tablet in the field?

glad wrap your tablet if your so worried about dew, or setup an umbrella next to your telescope.

I've used my iPad outside on dew nights. Dew doesn't form all that much, I think because the insides keep the screen above the dew temperature. anyway they are reasonably shower proof, just wipe of the water with a absorbent cloth when you notice it.

Perhaps keep it in a black crate tipped on its side too, as many do to prevent stray light. Gives quite a bit of dew protection, and the heat from a latptop or tablet keeps the dew away most Qld nights at least.
