Misty Three Sisters

A few months ago I had to go up to Katoomba for work, so I went early and took my camera gear. A low fog hung over the 3 Sisters, and as it cleared I was able to capture this shot.

It’s a 3-image bracketed shot, necessary because this side of the rock formation was still in shadow with the Sun rising over the other side.

Canon 6D, 24-105mm lens @ 65mm, f/10. The three exposures were 2.5s, 0.5s and 13s at ISO2000.

Processed using Photomatix Pro, Lightroom and Photoshop.

I’m really happy with this shot – it feels nice and mystical, magical.

Mike, that's awesome, really like it. You got a high dynamic range there.

That's a nice one. Will Tourism NSW pick that one up? Here's hoping.

nice stuff Mike, brings back lots of good memories when I use to live at Springwood in the early 80s and ventured to Katoomba on the odd occasion
