Astrofest NGC6888

Thought I'd give a few northern targets a try however this one was a bit of a challenge and I didn't get enough data.

24x5mins LRGB taken with the QSI and Meade ED80

A valiant attempt, Peter! I wonder if this one is easier in NB. A lot of northerners seem to image it that way.

Good effort Peter, 6888 was quite low, just above the horizon and hard to collect good clean data.

I didn't think to give that a try but imagine it would have plenty of Ha in it given the colour.

Yep - this was barely clearing the shower tent.

Very nice, looks very natural. It is funny to see you capturing northern objects. I am always trying to get some from the south.
