New Olympus OM-D

Recently purchased a new micro four thirds camera and spent quite a bit of time reading the manual to see exactly how to operate the camea as the last one I had was a Nikon FM.
I was pleased to see that the ART filters in the camera mimic the TriX Pan Kodak that we used to push to 1600ASA and loved the grain and feel of it.
Anyway on a recent trip To Adelaide I had some fun using it for Street photography etc at which it excells as well as an HDR attempt.
Very pleased with it and now will have to see how it goes with astrophotography.
Comments welcomed as usual.

I got the camera with the 12-50mm zoom kit lens which is not too bad but I also got the 12, 45 and 75mm prime lenses after reading all the reviews.
These are really sharp primes and put some of the Nikon lenses I used to have to shame.
Love it so far

Great to see some shots from it Allan. It's a wonderful camera - enjoy it. I'm also looking at an EP5 to compliment mine, as well as the 60mm macro which is also a cracker lens.

The 12-50 kit lens is also a macro and I feel its much maligned. I can see a good difference between it and my primes but it's weather proof and quite acceptable through its range for sharpness and it's just versatile.
I saw Al Sheeney was using the 12-50 in Turkey and his shots turned out fine.
Just can't justify/cost the 60 mm macro but it did get great reviews.
My favourite is the 12mm as most of my shots are wide but the 45 and 75mm are soooooo sharp.
Luv them all and thanks for the advice.

Good stuff, Al.

At first glance in shot 4 I thought you had the space shuttle on the RHS of shot, but it's just a pidgeon. Lucky I'm an amateur astronomer... some others would've been happy with the space shuttle and not give the pidgeon a second look!

Where's Striker, Dave?
